Cardinal Nation in midst of Massive Power Outage

ST. LOUIS, MO. — At least 25 people are without power in Cardinal Nation, and have been so for over a month.

An Ameren UE spokesperson said a lightning bolt hit a large portion of the Cardinals batting lineup, knocking out power to areas of the batting order.  The number 4 spot in the lineup was hit especially hard.

Ameren estimated that as of August 1st, 25 people were without power.  Currently, there is no time table set for power to be restored.

The outage came at one of the more important months to date in the Cardinals season, as they are gearing up for the Playoff race.

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny was quoted as saying “John Mabry and his crew are working feverishly to restore power, but after today’s 3-1 loss, Mozeliak was seen at Lowes looking longingly at large backup generators.”.
