After Saturday night’s loss to Anaheim, the St. Louis Blues announced that the group therapy session was a tremendous success.
The Blues’ Chief Psychologist, Dr. Ralph Dacey stated, “We were becoming very concerned that the fans’ delusions of grandeur was reaching a point of no return, considering the Blues’ unprecedented march to the playoffs.”
Reporters asked if this treatment was warranted.
Dr. Dacey replied, “I was confident that the only course of treatment left was a strong dose of reality,” which was certainly delivered en masse to the overflowing crowd at the Scott Trade Center, when they were exposed to a second straight loss at home at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks.
Dr. Ralph Dacey was expecting a full recovery for the majority of St. Louis Blues fans with the exception of the head coach Ken Hitchcock who feels that every player on the team should be married. He was quoted as saying, “We’re a team right now that needs everybody engaged.”
