Microsoft has announced that they are bringing back the long missed start button that was removed in Windows 8.
It will be back in the 8.1 update.
Microsoft CEO was quoted as saying: “We are not really sure why we removed the start button in the first place… But it’s back now!”.
“It’s revolutionary! And by revolutionary I mean there will be a angry mob outside our HeadQuarters by day Three of Windows 8.1…
Yes it’s back, but it might not be the same as you remember it… Microsoft is touting it as “Start Button 2.0”, with the new start button, you can not only launch applications, but you can make bing searches (Google refused to comment on this matter), Tweet, see recent Facebook posts and best of all… The 10 second advertisement that you will see every time before being able to use the Start Button.
“It’s revolutionary! And by revolutionary I mean there will be a angry mob outside our HeadQuarters by day Three of Windows 8.1…” said the head developer for Windows 8. “I can’t believe we never thought of putting Ads on the start button before! Now we can make some extra cash every time anyone needs to access a feature in the start button!”
While Microsoft acknowledged that this MAY upset some users at first, they likened the general public to the Borg. “They will adapt.” The Microsoft janitor said in a dead serious voice. “Soon they won’t remember what it was like without having to watch Ads every time they clicked the Start Button”.
